Qualifications

A minimum of B.Sc. in Geographic Information Systems, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science with Geography, and Computer Science.
Professional affiliations/memberships:

SAGC (South African Geomatics Council)
SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Sciences Professional)


Experience

0-2 years working experience.
Understanding of the Esri product suite:

ArcGIS Enterprise.
ArcGIS Pro.
ArcGIS Online.
ArcGIS Field Maps.
Python/ArcPy.
Javascript.

Understanding of remote sensing and working with remote sensing imagery/datasets.
Understanding of Python programming language.

Duties

Analyse spatial database information.
Assist with the development of custom and standardized agricultural nutrient (chemical maps) and fertiliser recommendation maps.
Develop and maintain GIS databases.
Process and manage Remote Sensing data.
Translate raw data into agricultural solutions.
Assist GIS Specialists with the development and maintenance of Esri dashboards.
Collaborate with GIS Specialists, Soil Scientists, Digital Developers & Agronomists, and NSD personnel.
