Geometric/Drainage Design Engineer/Technologist

Our growing Geometrics & Drainage Knowledge Group is looking for experienced Senior Geometric Design Engineer/ Technologist to join their team.
You will be part of a dynamic team based in South Africa at one of our main offices in either Durban Johannesburg, or Pietermaritzburg.
Main responsibilities Conceptual and detailed geometric and drainage design.Design co-ordination, perform design checks and review design calculations of others.Produce technical drawings to an agreed standard, using computer packages.Prepare bills of quantities, specifications, and tender documents.Prepare reports and presentations.Business development and client interaction.Adhere to quality procedures and standards.Active mentoring and coaching of junior staff.Liaison with members of the professional team including project team members.Minimum qualifications, skills, and experience BSc/BEng/BTech Civil Engineering.Professional registration with ECSA is an advantage.Minimum 5-10 years relevant experience with geometric and drainage design skills essential.Road signs and road markings design.Knowledge of SANRAL Geometric Design Standards, SANRAL Drainage Manual, SARTSM, TRH17, COTO specifications, ACC (BIM360), are essential.Manage projects from inception to completion.Project tendering and preparation.Report writing and presentation skills (essential).Proficiency in Civil3D and AutoCAD.Scripting in Dynamo and Excel will be an advantage.Knowledge of Trafsoft will be an advantage.Behavioural competencies Pro-active.Accurate and detail orientated.Ability to work well independently.Team player.Strong analytical focus.Good interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
