Description Our client in the Construction Industry based in Jeffreys Bay is currently looking to employ an Electrician.
Requirements:A relevant trade qualification in electrical work (e.g., N3 Electrical Engineering, Trade Test Certificate)Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Electrician.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards.
Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.Construction/ Building Pans: Good understanding of building plansGood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.A valid Drivers License is and Own Transport Required.
Duties: Electrical Installations: Perform installations of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in residential, commercial settings.
Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose electrical issues and carry out repairs and maintenance on existing electrical systems and equipment.
Solar Installations: Design, install and maintain Solar Systems.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.
Testing and Inspection (Single Phase): Conduct testing and inspection of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas in need of improvement.
Issue COC where required.
Project Management: Plan and execute electrical projects from start to finish, including estimating time, resources, and costs.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical problems efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and disruption.
Customer Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide expert advice and solutions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job reports, material usage, and safety inspections.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other electricians, apprentices, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Emergency Services: Be available for on-call emergency electrical services as needed.
Additional Information:Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 17:00Weekends: Standby, occasional but rare call outs - overtime will apply.3 month probation will apply.
