Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager located in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations at a strategic level. This includes managing Senior and Junior Managers, ensuring operational excellence, driving sales and profitability, developing and implementing business strategies, and leading the restaurant towards achieving its goals. The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards in customer service, food safety, and quality, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, managing budgets and financial performance, overseeing inventory and supply chain management, and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, the General Manager will play a key role in staff development, talent management, and succession planning, as well as ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives.
Qualifications
Extensive leadership and strategic management experience in the food service industry (5+ years in a management role, with at least 3 years in the QSR industry)
Strong business acumen with experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a multi-level team, including Senior and Junior Managers
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory management, supply chain, food-cost, and health & safety compliance
Ability to develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on long-term objectives
Experience in talent management, staff development, and succession planning
