General Manager

Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking an experienced General Manager in the Logistics industry to join our client in Durban. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all logistics operations for our clients, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.
Responsibilities
Achieve regional goals and revenue targetsEnsure compliance to customs and SARS requirementsOversee daily operations and manage regional budget and costsFoster collaboration between operations and commercial teamsEngage regularly with key customersDrive commercially focused business visionDevelop performance objectives aligned with national targetsCoordinate with external stakeholders (rail & ports) for efficient supply chainPrepare and present financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)Promote operational excellence and embed it in the regionExceed customer service requirementsMaintain a safe operating environment for regional staffDesign regional growth strategy and goals
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar.5+ years experience in a senior leadership role within the logistics industryStrong knowledge of Logistics, Operations, regulations, Imports and ExportsCommercial and Operational experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Logistics and refined metal exports in AfricaExcellent leadership and management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesSound financial acumen and budgeting skillsProficiency in logistics software and systemsExperience in implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies
