To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education: GS-12 and GS-13:There is no substitution of education for specialized experience.
Experience: GS-12 and GS-13:One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
GS-12: Experience in evaluating production performance, price structure of products and proposed future prices. Experience working with commercial double entry bookkeeping system that consists of assets, liabilities, income, and ownership accounts. Experience working with a complex accounting program which includes, but not limited to Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accrual Accounting and Payroll Accounting. Experience reviewing and verifying records utilizing the millennium system. Experience with physical inventories of raw materials, supplies, work in progress, finished goods, and machinery/equipment. GS-13: Experience in providing management oversight, budgetary development, financial and cost accounting analyses. Experience reporting, inventory, warehouse and property management, and perpetual compliance internal control reviews for product lines in a respective group. Experience in maintaining a complex accounting program which includes, but not limited to Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accrual Accounting and Payroll Accounting. Experience providing oversight of the analysis of operation results for evaluating production performance, price structure of products and proposed future prices. Experience in scheduling and maintaining physical inventories such as raw materials and supplies, work in progress, finished goods, and machinery and equipment. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
