About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Security Risk Practitioner to join our team at a prestigious Private Game Reserve in the Limpopo Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security measures to protect our wildlife, guests, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage anti-poaching strategies and initiatives to safeguard our wildlife and assets.Collaborate with local authorities and anti-poaching networks to ensure effective security protocols.Provide emergency wilderness first aid and respond to security incidents as needed.Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards, including PSIRA registration.Demonstrate proficiency in firearm handling and possess relevant certification.Conduct fire prevention and firefighting activities to mitigate risks.Perform general maintenance tasks to maintain the reserve's infrastructure.Utilize drones for surveillance and monitoring purposes to enhance security.Desired RequirementsProven experience in anti-poaching operations and training in security protocols.Familiarity with local anti-poaching networks and authorities.Certification in emergency wilderness first aid and tracking skills.Formal training in security, anti-poaching, or COIN operations, with PSIRA registration.Competency in firearm handling and possession of relevant certification.Tracking qualification, preferably with man tracking experience.Dog handling skills or experience with owning a dog.Valid driver's license with a preference for PDP.Experience in fire prevention and firefighting.Proficiency in general maintenance tasks and ability to repair security electric fences.Experience in using drones for surveillance and monitoring.Background in environmental studies or reserve management experience.Desired SkillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and attention to detail.Team player with leadership capabilities and commitment to safety.Remuneration & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Accommodation provided on-site, including a single bedroom, bathroom facilities, lounge area, and kitchenette.Work rotation cycle: 26 days on, 7 days off.Motor vehicle and motorbike available for work purposes.Opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment.Contribution to wildlife conservation efforts.Access to training and professional development opportunities.
