PURPOSE OF ROLE: The role of a Fulfilment Supervisor in the warehouse is a crucial part of the order fulfilment process. The primary purpose of a Fulfilment Supervisor is to oversee the timely and accurate picking of orders whilst maintaining inventory accuracy through the picking operations as well as a neat, clean, and tidy facility. This role is essential for maintaining a smooth and organized workflow within the warehouse.

Key Performance Areas: Storage: Ensure all receipted stock is placed in the designated storage location for the specific warehouse (Lighting, Energy, Utilities, Residential, Platform, SUS, etc.) by close of business.Conduct daily shelf inspections to confirm stock is correctly placed and in good condition, supporting company policies and health & safety practices.Maintain inventory accuracy at 99% and keep shrinkage under 1% (unit-based). Order Fulfilment: Inspect daily orders to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked, packed, and prepared according to pick/invoice/transfer instructions, promoting good customer service.Manage order flow to meet delivery commitments, requiring frequent interaction with supporting teams.Meet outbound SLA targets:Customer orders handed over before 14:00 should be processed by COB (98%).Interbranch transfers handed over before 14:00 should be completed within 3 days (98%).Delivery SLA target: 98%. Packaging: Ensure efficient use of packaging materials to enhance customer experience, reduce damages, and remain cost-effective.Maintain stock levels within the agreed limits, ensuring sufficient availability during sale spikes.Packaging should support safe storage and transportation, with damages kept under 1% (unit-based).Ensure 100% stock availability within the planned budget (5% tolerance). Quality Control: Implement and monitor FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.Report damages in accordance with company policy/SOP, and store damaged items in allocated locations. Keep damages below 0.1% of total stock holding.Conduct weekly audits and report findings. Documentation: Ensure daily completion and correct filing of documentation as per SOP.File and store documentation in sequence for easy retrieval, with long-term storage on high bay shelves after 3 months and removal/recycling after 5 years.Maintain 100% conformance. People Management: Engage staff through daily team meetings and monthly one-on-ones, which should include performance reviews.Keep minutes of weekly meetings and send one-on-one performance reviews to the Logistics Manager. Continuous Improvement: Identify one operational change to enhance Supply Chain and customer experience.Conduct time and motion studies with relevant departments to measure performance improvements.Agree on an improvement plan with the Logistics Manager, setting a clear ETA.Provide quarterly feedback on specific activities being measured. Housekeeping: Maintain a neat, clean, and tidy work environment at all times, ensuring stock is kept in designated areas.Relocate misplaced inventory to the correct location after consulting with and obtaining approval from the inventory controller.Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition.Identify and address workplace safety hazards to promote a culture of Health and Safety.Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe receiving area with 99% inventory accuracy.Ensure no sub-par equipment is used without an appropriate job card, and aim for fewer than one incident in six months. Requirements: Computer Literacy/Systems: Basic proficiency in Windows and the MS Office suite.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Experience: At Minimum, Matric/NQF 4 level qualificationPreferred - Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse & Distribution qualificationWarehousing experience 4+ yrsAdministration relevant to the role 4+ yrsSupervisory/Management experience 2+ yrsBe able to cope under high level of pressure & fast-moving environment.Attention to details and problem solving.Excellent communication skills.Must be physically fit and strong to move around the warehouse spaces with ease.Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements.Quality Control Analysis - Conducting inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
