A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Front Office Manager at HIE Limehouse
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:
Ensure adequate resource planning and effective recruitment of Front Office team members.
Set and review departmental objectives for the team and provide continuous employee feedback through Team Great Conversations and job chats.
Ensure all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously and efficiently.
Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and train the team on Service Recovery.
Be an Ambassador of the Holiday Inn Express Brand and drive improvement of IHG Core Metrics.
Ensure Brand Standards compliance, carry out room checks and be actively involved in Quality Evaluations visits.
Maximise sales through up-selling, using incentives and promotions.
Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health Safety work practices.
Assist with the development and achievement of sales targets in line with annual budget.
Identify, communicate and action all sales leads.
Ensure support of Charity and Green Initiatives as part of our Giving Something Back Programme.
Duty Management shifts are an integral part of this role.

To succeed in the role of Front Office Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:
You will need to possess exceptional people management skills as well as be responsible for greeting our guests and ensuring their arrival experience is smooth and effectively managed. You will motivate the team through a positive and engaging culture to deliver exceptional service.
Prior Hotel Front Office experience in a branded high volume environment is essential for this role. IHG background and sound knowledge of Opera PMS are a plus, however, full training will be provided.
