An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Front Office Attendant at a 5-star hotel in Polokwane.
The ideal candidate will perform all check-in and check-out tasks, manage online and phone reservations, and inform customers about payment methods while verifying their credit card data.
Responsibilities include registering guests, collecting necessary information such as contact details and stay dates, welcoming guests upon arrival, and assigning rooms.
The Front Office Attendant will provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities, while also responding to client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
This role involves liaising with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean and fully furnished to meet guests' needs.
The attendant will confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, such as wedding guests.
Additionally, they will upsell additional facilities and services as appropriate and maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
Candidates should have prior work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or in a similar role, along with experience in hotel reservations software.
A strong understanding of travel planning websites like Booking and TripAdvisor is essential, as is a customer service-oriented attitude.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and a degree in hotel management would be a plus.
