We are looking for full-time Food Trades Assistants to join our fantastic team in the beautiful Queenstown Lakes district of Otago. We are looking for individuals with great communication skills and who work well within a busy team environment. Key responsibilities include: Gathering, weighing, washing and cutting ingredients in preparation for baking and cookingProduction and presentation of a variety of food products such as bread and meatsOperating (butchery, bakery or deli) equipment and ensuring compliance with occupational Food Safety and Health & Safety regulationsRemoving cooked food from ovens and food warmersCleaning work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes to required standardsCorrectly storing food supplies and equipmentPreventing wastage through timely product rotationAssisting with the department stocktakesTicketing and pricing of productsEnsuring excellent Customer Service is delivered at all timesWhat you'll bring: A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Food Trades Assistant or kitchenhandA good level of physical fitness with the ability to regularly lift 10kgs bags of ingredientsPassion for producing high-quality productA high standard of customer serviceAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailHours: We have permanent, full-time roles available working 40-45 hours per weekShifts starting at 3:00am or finishing at 10:00pmRemuneration for this role is $28 – $30 per hour.
