Food TechnologistOur client in the FMCG sector, situated in Tulbagh, is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team as soon as possible.Responsibilities:Conduct research and development activities to create new food products or enhance existing ones, from concept to commercialization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure product specifications are met and projects are completed on time.Utilize scientific principles and techniques to formulate recipes, optimize processes, and improve product quality and shelf-life.Perform sensory evaluations and analyze data to assess product attributes and identify areas for improvement.Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and regulatory requirements to inform product development strategies.Participate in pilot plant trials and production scale-ups, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).National Senior Certificate.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Food Technologist in the food industry.NPD (New Product Development) experience is an advantage.Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.Proficiency in laboratory techniques, experimental design, and data analysis.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and safety.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Willingness to travel and potentially relocate for job opportunities within the company.Area: TulbaghSalary: R20 000-R30 000 CTC per monthPlease apply online if you meet the necessary requirements and believe this is an opportunity you will thrive in.If you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
