Food Safety & Quality Administrator

Darling Olives, on the farm Alexanderfontein, in the Darling district, wish to recruit a Food Safety Quality & Administrator The suitable candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing Quality Management and Food Safety Programs. The role includes monitoring these programs performance and initiating continuous improvement initiatives. A competitive, market-related salary package is offered and will be based on experience. Requirements: · A relevant tertiary qualification i.e. BSc degree in Food Science, or BTech/National Diploma in Food Technology. Experience in relevant audit systems (HACCP / FSSC 22000) will be to your advantage. · Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English). Afrikaans is the main language spoken amongst the employees. · Excellent people- and process-management skills. · Ability to work under pressure. · Detail-orientated and hard-working. · Reliable and trustworthy. · Ability to work independently with excellent communication and organizational skills. · A passion for accuracy, "detail" and maintaining high standards. Responsibilities: · Work under the production manager and assist where needed. · Help to manage staff and operations, as well as during harvest season. · Willing to work in the tasting room from time to time and do a presentation to our clients. · Annual food safety audit. · Ensuring that monthly micro testing is complete. · Ownership and maintenance of Food Safety Management Systems, includes everything around the Food Safety System (Training, Allergen Management, Receipt of raw materials, investigate customer complaints manage and control non-conformances, control traceability & recalls etc.) · Assist with new product development
