Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

WINDMEUL EGGS, situated near Paarl, is looking for an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic.
The purpose of the role is to manage and ensure cost-effective and efficient maintenance of the truck fleet and other company mechanical repairs.
Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Trade Test Certificate
5+ years of service, repairs, and maintenance on trucks/agri equipment
MS Office and Internet proficiency
Ability to work flexi hours
Ability to work independently
Hardworking with high energy levels

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical defects on trucks and other farm vehicles
Investigate and repair, including the exchange of oil and filters and service
Check brakes and other hydraulic systems
Refurbish and repair engines and gearboxes
Manage the mechanical budget
Perform preventative maintenance
Advise on and source alternative suppliers which are cost-effective
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
