Qualified candidates who meet the requirements of the role are invited to apply.Overview & Key ResponsibilitiesThe Fixed Assets Accountant will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to foreign accounts payable, fixed assets, and cashbook functions.Take out FECs to limit financial exposure.Recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of assets.Assist in compiling Capex Budget.Preparing monthly reconciliations.Minimum RequirementsA Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom) qualification.Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting procedures, Reserve bank requirements, banking requirements, forward exchange contracts, Fixed Assets, and financial aspects of ERP system.Good communication skills including presentation skills.High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail are pre-requisites.Assertiveness and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.Must be a strong team player.Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure.Valid unendorsed Driver's license and own vehicle.Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience on JDE would be advantageous.
