Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract from January 2025 to October 2025. In this role, you will support one of our leading retail brands by handling daily store sales reconciliations, processing store bank accounts, and managing general finance administration related to stores. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute to a dynamic retail environment while gaining valuable experience with a well-established brand.

Key Responsibilities

Balance and reconcile daily stores sales reports from various systems daily, weekly and monthly
Reconciliation of store bank account transactions
Update new store information for the finance team
Age analysis maintenance for online and layby customers by conducting daily analysis of payments and reconcile payments/refunds/credit notes where applicable
Allocate store and online credit notes to invoices
Assist with customer refunds via bank payments
Stakeholder relationships with various departments
Assist with any ad hoc requests related to the portfolio

Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping is essential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

A minimum of 1 - 2 years of accounting experience within a retail environment, dealing with store banking, refunds,
Proficiency in the latest Microsoft/ G-suite packages is an essential requirement
A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills.
The ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.
Has a high energy level, is performance-driven and deadline-orientated.
Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
Ability to multi-task, deal with complexities, and use initiative to solve problems.
Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
