Overview & Key Responsibilities The Fixed Assets Accountant will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks.
Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to: 1.
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to foreign accounts payable, fixed assets and cashbook functions;2.
Take out FECs to limit financial exposure;3.
Recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of assets;4.
Assist in compiling Capex Budget;5.
Preparing monthly reconciliations.
1.
A Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom) qualification;2.
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience;3.
Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting procedures, Reserve bank requirements, banking requirements, forward exchange contracts, Fixed Assets, and financial aspects of ERP system;4.
Good communication skills including presentation skills;5.
High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail are pre-requisites;6.
Assertiveness and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels;7.
Must be a strong team player;8.
Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure;9.
Valid unendorsed Driver's license and own vehicle;10.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, experience on JDE would be advantageous.
