Fitter (Underground)

We are currently recruiting for a Fitter (Underground) for a mine based in Brits (North West).
Experience & Qualification:Grade 12 and/or N2 (NQF Lev 3).Certificated Fitter or Diesel Mechanic Trade Test.5 - 10 years underground experience on trackless machinery.Must have own transport and a valid SA driver's license.Good general health AND a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket).Characteristics or Skills Required:Sound planning (time management) and organisational abilities.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize.Good customer and interpersonal skills.Ability to function independently and within a team.Independent, self-motivated, proactive thinking.Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal) and one other official language.Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure that a good standard of safety awareness is maintained.Ensure that section personnel comply with the required Health and Safety and Environmental standards.Ensure good housekeeping standards and maintenance.Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.Perform maintenance on all machinery underground.Conduct condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance effectively.Respond timely to breakdown management, conducting appropriate root cause analysis and diagnosis.Conduct expansions and construction of new equipment or installations as per works order.Identify spares requirements.Must be able to work overtime when required.Please mail c.v. to ****** or ******.
