TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Fitter & Turner at the Engineering department in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.Responsibilities And DutiesRead and interpret drawingsTurning and machining of various components including multistart, buttress, square, acme, metric and imperial threadsIdentifying different types of threads and their use in the industryMachining to standard tolerancesIdentifying different types of bearings, their application, and the fitting of such bearingsKnowledge of inline, radicon, and crofts gearboxes, the assembly and repair thereofFitting of keys, bushes, pins, gears, sprockets, and alignment of various types of couplings including tyre couplings, spider couplings, gear couplings, flange couplings, etc.Do maintenance checklistsAssist with maintenance planningIdentify problematic machinery and inform management thereofAlways maintain a safe working environmentAfter repairing machinery in conjunction with production personnel, ensure that the machine is working according to the required standardBe able to troubleshoot and do fault findingDo basic boiler making and welding, including the building of small structuresMust be prepared to travel and work at different mills, including stayovers as and when requiredQualifications and SkillsMatric / Grade 12 or N3Qualified red seal artisanSuperb machining skillsAt least 3 years' experience in an industrial environmentBasic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulicsDecision making abilitiesAbility to take initiativeComputer literate (Word and Excel)Strong organisational skillsStrong communication skillsBasic boiler making and welding skillsPrepared to work overtime and standby duties when requiredPrepared to do training courses to improve skillsGood fitting skillsValid driver's license
