JOB PURPOSE Technical specialised support on products.
Providing comprehensive technical services for the efficient and safe operation of electronic technology for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS N4 with 4 to 6 years of experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks and software) OR Trade qualification in electronic / electrical.4 - 6 years of experience.Knowledge of company product.Good computer skills (Microsoft package).Valid driver's license.Own Vehicle.RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Management Existing products config management to latest spec.Quality requirements – NCR's, ECR, TB, WI, - Coordinating of this.Coordinate or assist with testing of Firmware.Coordinate or assist with testing of Hardware.Assist with technical training where required.Carrying out ad-hoc audits on area product support.Assist with technical matters for support and projects as requested.Review, update, create product manuals as required.Assist with product trials.Coordinate or assist with customer product trials/POC's.Product Marketing Assist with customer presentations where required.Assist sales force with product training and/or customer interface meetings where required.Sound understanding of product solutions and roadmap of product evolution.Provide insight on market intelligence – Competitor solutions and customer typical needs per sector.Assist with product launch activities – Product demonstration, trial, POC, presentation, creating launch advertising content.Administration Schedule daily time to answer or create necessary emails.Create time for document reviews.Create time for typical HR related weekly's – Prompt petrol claims, leave expenses etc.Prompt liaising with customers through emails or phone calls where required.Technical Installation, repairing, calibration, certification and technical support of electronic products and systems to the highest technical and safety standards.Set up and test units to meet specified requirements.Quality checks all work as per company quality policy.Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause of issues and recommend corrective actions.Ordering and maintaining of stock.Responsible for the maintenance of electronic equipment and software, according to company standards.Reporting and recording further maintenance requirements.New Projects.Operate hand tools and small power tools.Housekeeping.Any other reasonable duties assigned by your direct supervisor/Manager.Support Liaise with other technical employees and customers on site to support quality and safety of work.Keep supervisor updated of all unresolved and/or potential problems that could negatively affect the customer or our company.Provide regular feedback to Technical coordinator and Supervisor.Provide support to the Senior Technician and Supervisor on assignments.Develop customer relations.Complete required documentation, reports and paperwork for the mine, customers and Technical coordinator/Supervisor.Health and Safety Always adhere to all customer safety regulations.Adhere to specific risk assessments before commencing daily tasks.Ensure medical and inductions are valid.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Skills:
