Are you a visionary leader with a passion for operational excellence and international business relations? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team and oversee critical operational functions in a prestigious organization that has been fostering business ties between Southern Africa and Germany for over 70 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Strengthen operational efficiency, manage daily business activities, and oversee administrative operations.
Process & Strategic Management: Develop and optimize internal processes, implement strategic plans, and manage budgets.
Stakeholder Representation: Represent the organization in the economic and political spheres across Southern Africa and Germany at key events, webinars, roundtables, and delegations.
Expansion & Development: Drive the growth of key operational areas such as Competence Centers, Training, CSR, Membership Marketing, and Events.
Board Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Directors and maintain active communication with over 500 member companies, advocating for their interests.
Intercultural Leadership: Lead an international team, managing personnel, budgets, and strategic planning for various operational areas.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: University degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in governance, process optimization, and financial management.
Leadership Skills: Proven personnel management experience, intercultural competency, and visionary leadership.
Language Skills: Proficiency in both German (C2) and English is essential.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Southern African and German business markets; understanding of German Federal Ministry procedures is beneficial.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
Availability to Travel: Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
