Responsibilities:Oversee the sales team and the finance teamHelp in preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Annual Financial ReportsPrepare and manage monthly key performance indicatorsPreparation of monthly projection reportPreparation and management of the monthly Route-to-Market sales reportHelp in preparation of Annual Budgets and Latest EstimatesHelp compiling quarterly board packsResponsible for daily, weekly, and monthly sales reportsReviewing depot commissions and sales bonus reportsSet the direction for the sales department in respect of standards and operating policiesRecruitment, training and development of sales staff, for example handling customer requirementsResponsible for trade marketing, point-of-sale, and brand developmentDevelop new business through direct contact, tele-sales, cost effective marketing and targeted business developmentMaximize revenue and market share through delivery to underserved marketsBuild alternative routes-to-market - I&I (industries and institutions), exports, in-house brand (no-name brands) strategy, etcAnalyze route costings and manage expenses in line with most efficient and profitable routesManaging the month-end and ensuring all entries are processed correctly and on time by the Finance teamReviewing and ensuring all statutory obligations such as NAPSA, PAYE, WHT, Income Tax and NHIMA are correctly prepared, submitted and paid on timeProcessing payroll for supervisory staffMaintenance of Fixed Asset Register and record keeping of documentationCarrying out periodic internal audit checks to ensure that company controls and processes are sufficient and effectiveManage debtors and all customers trade with the agreed terms and conditionsProvide leadership to the Sales and Finance team regarding the day-to-day operationsHelp handling the year-end audit and audit queriesAny other ad hoc tasksRequirements:Must hold a relevant accounting qualificationAt least 3 to 5 years work experience in a Senior Financial and Commercial role in a fast-moving consumer goods environmentSAGE and Dove Payroll experience will be advantageousWeb-based Point-of-Sale Software experience will be advantageousDue to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
