Are you a seasoned Financial Manager with a knack for IT and a strong accounting background? We have an exciting opportunity for you Key Responsibilities: Billing and Collections Liaise with project/program managers to gather billing records (sign-offs, work orders, etc.). Review timesheets captured on Xero for cost WIP accrual and COS allocations. Prepare customer invoices based on sign-offs from project/program managers and the customer. Manage customer accounts: Maintain the age analysis to ensure that debtors are not long outstanding. Follow up on long outstanding invoices. Attend to customer queries. Allocate customer receipts. Prepare monthly billing reports. Prepare monthly debtors reports (including age analysis, debtors days outstanding, and a summary of long outstanding invoices with related issues). Follow up on outstanding debtors. Procurement and Accounts Payable Create, review, and authorize Purchase Orders (PO). Receive, verify, and process invoices for payment. Prepare vendor statements. Handle and attend to vendor queries. Manage 3rd party vendors. Prepare monthly creditors reports (including age analysis and a summary of long outstanding invoices with related issues). Assets Management Record assets purchased by the JV. Maintain and update the JVs Assets Register (update records for additions, disposals, transfers, etc.). Verify existing assets at year end. Treasury Maintain the JV bank account. Handle payment verifications and releases. Allocate customer receipts. Monitor the bank daily. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Reporting Maintain and manage the accounting system (Xero). Review monthly transactions (Trial Balance). Prepare month-end journals (accruals, provisions, etc.) and revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS15. Liaise with JV partners financial managers to obtain cost-related information (resources and overhead costs). Reconcile related party transactions, prepare and submit a report to EXCO on the transactions between JV and the JV partners. Prepare monthly management reports with actuals compared to budget and prior comparative periods: Management accounts should include at a minimum: (1) Income Statement, (2) Balance Sheet, and (3) Statement of Cash Flows. Submit and present the management accounts to EXCO. Liaise with auditors for annual audits. Compliance (Statutory Submissions) Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns. Requirements: 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial management role Strong accounting background with experience in all-round accounting functions IT background or experience within the IT sector is highly preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Being a Chartered Accountant is not a requirement but would be an advantage If you are a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and IT, wed love to hear from you
