JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager with CA certification to join our team. The Financial Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of the company and ensuring its financial health.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, strategic planning, and leadership, with a proven track record as a Chartered Accountant, preferably within the online trading or financial investment sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support the overall business objectives, by leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards for internal and external stakeholders.
Cash flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to support operational needs and capital investments.
Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgets.
Audit and Compliance: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
Taxation: Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
Banking: Open corporate accounts for commercial and international accounts and maintain relations with various banks.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in the FSCA's regulatory frameworks and advise on navigating regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special financial projects as assigned by the Group CFO or CEO.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is required.
5+ years of proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in online trading/financial investments.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations with the FSCA, and South African tax laws.
Proficiency in financial software (Pastel/Priority) and Microsoft Excel.
Strategic thinking: the ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Communication skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Leadership: proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Adaptability skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
