Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and providing timely information to stakeholders.Financial ReportingPrepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Provide timely information to stakeholders, including the Financial Director.Budgeting and ForecastingAssist with the annual budgeting process.Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.Financial PlanningConduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.Provide insights on financial trends, forecasts, and cash flow management.Internal ControlsEstablish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of financial processes.Team ManagementLead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development and collaboration.Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.Cash Flow ManagementMonitor and manage the organization's cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes.Stakeholder CommunicationCommunicate financial information and performance metrics to the Financial Director.Prepare various reports for the Financial Director as required.System ImplementationOversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.Enhance financial processes through automation and technology.AuditsPrepare audit packs and liaison with auditors regarding audit queries.Assist with the preparation of all file requirements for BBBEE audits, gathering of invoices, documentation, and assistance during the audit.Qualifications and Experience:Degree or studying towards a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.Minimum 2 years experience in people management.Minimum 5 years accounting experience.
