Financial Accountant | Johannesburg | HybridThe role supports the finance function across the Group. Includes but is not limited to month-end procedures, debtors management, creditors management, and maintaining accounting records. Offers holistic support to the finance team.Minimum RequirementsBcom Degree (Finance or Accounting).Post Graduate degree would be advantageous.Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.5 + years of experience in a similar accounting role.1 – 2 years of industry experience would be advantageous.Strong knowledge of accounting principles.Experience with different foreign currencies.Experience with Accounting Software.Reliable and meticulous attention to detail.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to take initiative and create efficiencies.General Duties & ResponsibilitiesExecution of month-end procedures (Income Statement and Balance Sheet).Performing customer calculations and ensuring all invoices are raised.Debtors Management, including proactively managing the recovery of outstanding debts.Ensuring financial invoicing data is accurate and complete.Creditors Management, preparing reconciliations for payment runs.Capturing and reconciling Banks and Credit Cards.Balance Sheet reconciliations.Raising month-end journals where necessary.Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.Ensuring finance deadlines are met across the Group.Assisting Group Financial Manager and Financial Accountant with the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts.Point of contact to Customer Success Managers for any finance queries.Liaising with suppliers ensuring invoices and statements are aligned for payment.Ensuring company data is filed systematically.Assistance with annual financial audits across the group.Assistance with any ad hoc reporting.Assistance with any general financial queries.Engage with StakeholdersAbility to work as part of the greater organisational team but also independently, as well as with clients.Maintain and manage positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely acquisition of information.Effectively communicate at all management levels with clients/stakeholders.Make recommendations to improve client services.Self-Management and TeamworkDevelop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry, and legislation knowledge.Agility | Clarity | Collaboration | Creativity & Innovation | Customer Centricity | Lead with Integrity | Relationship Focused
