JOB DESCRIPTION FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT Qualification requirementsAccounting related qualification will be advantageousExperienceMinimum of 3 years experience working in a Finance DepartmentGood knowledge of financial accounting and reporting processesGood MS Office and more specifically MS Excel skillsSage Evolution experience will be advantageousAttention to detail is very important Key tasks and responsibilitiesCollect, analyse and summarise account information from various subsidiariesCapturing of financial information provided by various subsidiariesConverting financial information and transactions from a foreign currency to a functional reporting currencyPerform financial reconciliations, including but not limited to bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliationsTax computations and co-ordinating information between subsidiaries and tax consultantsConduct month-end and year-end proceduresPrepare monthly reports such as but not limited to Balance Sheet and Income StatementsAccount for intra-group transactions and eliminationsBalancing of intercompany loans on a group levelPrepare consolidation entries for relevant subsidiariesAnalyse trends in financial information and follow-up on variances identifiedCompile monthly management reports on timeDevelop period reports for managementProvide accurate and timeous feedback to queries received from management and other stakeholdersAssist with audit requests to complete audits in timePrepare budget and financial forecastsKeep up with financial policies, regulations, legislation, IFRS Standards and exchange rate conversionsCompetenciesAttention to detail and ability to organise complex information neatly and accuratelyAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAnalytical thinker able to unpack and grasp complicated finance related scenariosAbility to work independentlyHighly motivated with ability to solve practical problems and follow written, verbal or other instructionsWork well within a team and ability to management stakeholder relationshipsStrong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise effectivelyGood written and verbal communication skillsReliable and flexible individual
