Ogilvy Johannesburg is looking for a process driven, decisive and detail oriented Financial Accountant to join the team.Primary FunctionPrepare and reconcile all Intercompany RecoveriesApprove Monthly Expenses in line with the approval matrix and budgetsPreparation of Intercompany Recovery SchedulesApprove Monthly Vat Input Schedules for InvoicingReview of Monthly Expenses Actual vs Budget schedules and manage variancesReview Entertainment/ Local Travel reconciliations when required by account management and manage variancesReview Monthly Profit/Loss StatementsPrepare all Tax Expense Schedules monthly (Legal Expenses/Donations)Approve Monthly Awards ReconApprove and review journal entriesAssist in collating information required for auditsPrepare Monthly Management AccountsPrepare Monthly Balance SheetPrepare Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliationsPrepare SOX Monthly reportsPrepare Monthly SOX files for approvalPrepare Monthly VAT ReconciliationPrepare and submit monthly VAT returnsComplete schedules required for IFRS year end reportingPrepare Operating Expenses Rolling Forecasts.
(Q1 – Q4)Assist on New Business Tenders as and when requiredAssist in collating information for BEE complianceAssist the Finance Managers and Finance Director in any ad hoc requestsRequirementsRole Requirements:Minimum B-Com Accounting2 to 3 years management accounting experienceWorkbook and Navision experience is preferable (job production system experience required)SOX Experience preferableAdvanced excel skills is not negotiableGood knowledge of IFRSPersonal Attributes:Reliable and AccurateMust be able to work under pressure without supervisionTakes initiative and is resourceful in identifying solutionsTeam playerProblem solving skillsMust be able to work overtime
