Financial Accountant

My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to ensure accuracy in accounting, maintain IFRS standards and drive quality and compliance for the respective business unit.
This role involves overseeing accounting processes to provide complete, trustworthy and timely financial reporting.
The successful candidate will support Debtors and Creditors procedures, control escalations and meet key objectives to mitigate business risk through established processes and procedures.
Responsibilities: Provide bi-weekly age analysis to Head of FinanceLead month-end processesCompile monthly internal review files with commentary for H.O.FOversee weekly and monthly checks and manage escalations with Creditors and Debtors teamsAssist in statutory auditsSupport general ledger activities, post journals, compile VAT reports, and prepare files for internal and external auditsValidate bi-weekly invoicing reports with up-to-date commentary Ensure timely dispatch of statements and follow-up to secure prompt paymentsPrepare weekly reconciliation's for all bank accounts, sending them to H.O.F for reviewRequirements: Professional qualification in finance/accounting or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of IFRS standards and statutory complianceExcellent organisational skills with attention to detailProficiency in financial software and MS ExcelPlease note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles
