Are you a strategic and visionary Financial Manager ready to lead the financial operations of an exceptional company? If so, our client is looking for you! This exciting opportunity is based in the La Mercy, KZN area
As Finance Manager you will take charge of the company's financial management portfolio, oversee areas such as budgeting and forecasting, working capital and cash flow management, risk and compliance, taxation, forex, regulatory and financial reporting, audits and team leadership
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategic Support
Drive revenue, cost, and profitability targets while shaping and implementing the strategic plan
Deliver accurate, timely business insights through robust analysis and performance reviews
Identify financial and commercial risks; support pricing strategies and cost management
Accounting Function Management
Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and group reporting standards
Maintain effective control processes to uphold financial reporting integrity
Reconcile and report all accounts accurately
Budgeting & Forecasting
Develop business budgets aligned with strategic plans and performance goals
Monitor and measure performance against budgets and forecasts
Working Capital, Cashflow & Forex Management
Collaborate with business units to manage working capital, cashflow, stock, and reconciliations
Oversee debtors, creditors, and non-trade procurement while optimizing expense levels
Handle forex calculations and ensure business cashflow needs are met
Tax & Compliance
Manage tax matters as Public Officer and ensure adherence to BBBEE requirements
Establish and oversee financial systems, controls, and risk insurance coverage
Lead internal and external audits, resolving any issues effectively
Governance, Risk & Process Improvement
Mitigate risks related to information integrity and compliance
Implement process and system enhancements for ongoing operational efficiencies
Leadership & Team Development
Build and mentor high-performance teams to meet and exceed performance standards
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Minimum BCom Accounting with articles / CIMA CGMA level
CA (SA) preferred
Minimum 5 years relevant Financial Management experience in a manufacturing concern
Technical Requirements:
Extensive expertise in accounting and financial reporting, with in-depth knowledge of ERP systems
Strong business, financial, and commercial acumen, along with proficiency in management accounting practices such as budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and process optimization, aligned with IFRS standards
Comprehensive understanding of statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworks, including the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, VAT Act, Tax Administration Act, and exchange control regulations
Advanced knowledge of forex, including currency fluctuations, risk management, and related accounting treatments
Proficient in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel; familiarity with SAP is a plus
