Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of the organization. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all financial and procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing the financial health of the company.
Contract Duration: 5 years
Location: Head Office
Salary: Level: E – Lower (Negotiable based on experience)
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer
Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight:
Lead the formulation of the annual budget and present it to the Finance and Investment Sub-Committee. Direct the management of financial systems and ensure the timely production of financial reports in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain robust financial controls and ensure adherence to all finance-related policies and procedures.
Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the company's operations.
Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenditures to optimize financial performance and prevent budget discrepancies.
Supply Chain Leadership:
Manage supply chain operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Provide strategic advice on procurement matters and chair the Bid Adjudication Committee.
Ensure compliance with asset management standards and optimize resource utilization.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Foster strong inter-governmental relations by effectively communicating financial matters to the Board through the CEO. Uphold corporate governance principles and ensure audit outcomes reflect sound financial management.
Team Leadership:
Develop an effective organizational structure within the Finance Department to meet strategic objectives. Ensure the department is adequately resourced and that staff are motivated and performing effectively.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Proven ability to manage accounting functions effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of financial and supply chain management principles. Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to contribute to executive decision-making.
