FIELD SUPERVISORSummary: The Field Supervisor will be responsible for project management, client and employee relations, estimating, proposal writing, coordinating with multiple locations for personnel and equipment, budgeting, as well as additional tasks as assigned to meet business needs. This is a fast-paced, highly visible position and requires an individual with exceptional communication, organizational, and computer skills. This position requires an individual that is team-oriented, a multi-tasker, as well as a strong individual contributor with a superior sense of urgency.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:Independently and successfully managing projects from start-up to completion.Field inspections including the estimating, bidding, and proposal process.Responsible for the management of all sub-contractors, schedules, and budgets.Client and Employee relations including, but not limited to, hiring, discipline, annual reviews, and coaching.Work closely with senior managers and the sales team to identify potential opportunities/clients while maintaining current client relations.Producing timely documentation for internal and external agencies and clients, including report writing, maps, chain of custody, worksheets, and manifesting.Provide leadership and direction to technicians, drivers, and mechanics to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards, inventory control.Dispatch employees and job information.DOT compliance knowledge for Fleet and drivers logs.Qualification/Requirements:Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.Demonstrated background in successfully managing project schedules and budgets.At least three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory/project management experience in environmental construction/industrial cleanings, with knowledge of emergency response/management, quality management, and environmental regulations.Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients.Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and time-sensitive deadlines.Detail-oriented, creative, proactive, and persistent.Chemical handling and air monitoring equipment experience is a plus.Travel is required.Education/Training/Experience:High School Diploma or GED, B.S. with transferable skills and experience/education in the environmental industry are required.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some must wear fully enclosed protective suits for several hours at a time; these suits may be hot and uncomfortable and may cause the workers who wear them to experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces).
