Field Service Technician – Maritime Cranes, Port Equipment, & Offshore- and Ship CranesResponsibilitiesReports to: Customer Service Team Leader – Maritime Cranes Port Equipment & Offshore- and Ship CranesRole SummaryProvides any kind of service to the customers' company machines.Accountabilities / Key Performance AreasApply electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and equipment.Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul port equipment such as Harbour Mobile Cranes, Reach Stackers, Offshore- and Ship Cranes.Complete assigned paperwork as per procedures including time sheets, work reports, and expense reports.Cares for and maintains company tools, machines, and equipment.Primary Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)Operate machines for testing, inspection, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.Set a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff.Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance.Repair and replace damaged or worn parts with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spares.Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on company machines.Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using relevant measuring devices.Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.Oversee the maintenance of quality standards through visual and mechanical inspection methods.Promote a safe work environment by following on-site safety rules.Oversee the handling and disposing of hazardous wastes.Complete factory authorized training.Demonstrate working knowledge of company Service Software.Prepare for jobs by checking parts and documentation for accuracy.Complete jobs independently with minimal assistance.Assist customers with troubleshooting, part, and machine-related questions.Attend training sessions as required.Maintain a minimum set of tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for job performance.Maintain a positive attitude and role model for other employees.Maintain company service literature and stay aware of technical changes.Assume the lead person position when necessary.Train and/or mentor others in the department.Refuse to carry out unsafe tasks in conflict with company procedures.Follow the company Field Service policy and code of conduct.Ensure that all field service equipment is compliant with health and safety acts.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesMachinery Manufacturing
