Your Adventure Awaits:
As a Field Guide, you'll be the heart and soul of the guest experience, leading thrilling activities that showcase the incredible biodiversity of the Karoo. Your charismatic personality and expertise will create lasting memories for every guest.
What You'll Be Doing:
Welcoming Guests: Greet and interact with guests, ensuring they feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Guest Transfers: Provide seamless transportation for guests between the parking area and the lodge.
Guided Activities: Conduct twice-daily game drives and bush walks, revealing the secrets of the Karoo's unique flora and fauna.
Special Experiences: Facilitate mesmerizing encounters with meerkats, oversee cheetah monitoring, and participate in bird ringing activities.
Conservation Efforts: Assist in reserve maintenance, including road and fence repairs, contributing to the preservation of this beautiful landscape.
Equipment Management: Keep game drive vehicles pristine and well-maintained, and ensure all gear (hot & cooler boxes, blankets, hot water bottles) is ready for action.
What We're Looking For:
Certification: FGASA Nature Site Guide certification and DEAT/THETA registration are essential.
Skills: Valid PDP, First Aid certification, and firearm competency.
Personality: Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to share your knowledge and passion for nature.
Experience: Previous guiding experience in a similar environment is a plus.
