Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies that are cost-effective and ensure the smooth running of production.Sourcing and engaging with reliable suppliers and vendors to secure and/or review current contracts with approved suppliers.Processing purchase orders and arranging delivery of raw materials to be used for production.Estimating production costs and implementing a production schedule.Mitigate any production issues that may arise. Work closely with the logistics department to ensure finished goods are ready to be dispatched to clients timeously.Secure cost-effective, sufficient raw materials for production and in timeMaintaining a good relationship with approved suppliers. Sourcing and securing raw materials from reliable suppliers Implement and oversee optimal production scheduleProvide Sage stock reports monthly for decision making purposes - Stock counts, Short dated and Expired, Slow movers/Fast moversFormalising pricing, discounts, and acceptable service levelsRequirements:SAGE EvolutionBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement, or a related field.Proven experience in a procurement role in the food manufacturing industry.At least 10 yrs' experience working in food manufacturing.only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
