Role Purpose 
Our client, a leader in the Wealth & Risk Sector is looking for an accomplished sales manager who will manage and supervise the FAIS requirements of their national financial planner distribution
Within this context, the role of supervisor is intent on guiding, enabling, developing and overseeing activities of financial advisers with the necessary due care,
skill and diligence. 
Ultimately, the role of the supervisor is to guide, monitor, upskill, mentor and coach financial planners under supervision to provide clients across
different market segments (middle-income, affluent, professional market and business) with holistic financial planning, by providing a comprehensive range of appropriate and
competitive solutions in a way that creates long term relationshipsRequirements:

FAIS recognised qualification
RE 5
Class of Business Exams (COB's)
Product Specific Training (PST's)Competent on at least Long-term insurance, Investments, short term insurance, Medical
aid and Will and Trusts

At least 5 – 8 years career related experience in financial planning
Sufficient experience in providing financial services in one or more financial products
i.e. long and short-term insurance, investments and savings, risk, health management
and employee benefits
In depth knowledge of insurance, investment, risk or health management related
products as well as Retirement and Estate Planning
FCSA recognized qualification meeting all category requirements
Required FAIS Accreditation (Regulatory Examination RE 5)
A Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a Certified Financial Planner Designation would be highly advantageous
A valid driver's license with own transport
A willingness to travel
No adverse listings in accordance with FSCA fit and proper
Ability to use technology to engage financial advisers and clients virtually or in video
Duties and Responsibilities
Equip financial advisers under supervision to establish productive, professional and
enabling relationships with clients with the aim to manage and enhance the value of all
stakeholders
Enable and support financial advisers to provide credible and appropriate expertise and
advice to clients with the purpose of enabling client growth and retention
Guide and enable advisers while they are completing their learning path 
Encourage and cultivate an approach of ongoing support provided by financial advisers
to clients in service of growth and embedding of financial wellness
Ensure financial advisers embed the holistic Financial Wellness Framework in their
service provision to clients
Coach and activate financial advisers to pursue productivity and drive the achievement
of growth and engagement targets to increase new business and the acquisition of new
engaged clients.Assist financial advisers to create and identify business opportunities for the practice in
line with financial wellness philosophy

Facilitate process of financial advisers to create partnerships with the relevant
stakeholders in the identification of opportunities to grow and enhance the value of
their practices
Equip financial advisers to conduct client financial needs analysis to
create a customised financial plan to achieve clients' financial goals
Enable financial advisers to engage with prospective clients in a way that highlights the
features and benefits of various products based on their financial wellness needs to
ensure informed decision-making
Ensure financial advisers adopt the practice of accurate capturing of client information,
as well as relevant actions and sales on the business systems/tools
Ensure financial advisers adopt the practice of accurately completing all advice,
administrative and regulatory documentation and/or reporting requirements within
agreed timeframes
Co-attend client meetings with advisers to identify strengths and development areas in
client interaction and ensure overall competence by financial advisers.
Accountable for the conversion of leads allocated to NTI advisers while in probation
period
Ensure the completion of supervision assessments of advice and implementation of
advice by advisers
Drive the use of technology and working in a paperless environment to improve
efficiencies.
Facilitate on coaching and mentoring advisers towards the fit and proper
status/competence
Needs to understand social media and modern client engagement tools
Drive the adoption on technology in area of responsibility.
Practice fiduciary responsibility by guiding Financial Advisers to instil confidence in
customers when placing their trust in the advice and services provided to them
Proactively engage advisers when leads are allocated to tactically plan the client
engagement
Engage with financial advisers in a way whereby TCF (Treat Customer Fairly) outcomes
are achieved through the process of supervisionAssess client engagement and advice skills of advisers to identify development areas.
Ensure that financial advisers act as brand ambassador for Financial
Planning

Assist financial advisers to conduct themselves with objectivity in establishing and
meeting the clients' needs as well as building a strong brand and having a strong/ trust
relationship with the clients
Oversee and encourage financial advisers to actively engage in the marketing of
products and solutions to meet clients' financial wellness needs.
Assist and help financial advisers to skilfully analyse client book reports to identify
opportunities where client engagement status can be enhanced and formulate action
plans to execute
Supervise financial advisers to adopt the practice of ensuring each client has a financial
plan and budget and fulfil on the client value proposition
Enable financial advisers to ensure day to day engagements are characterised by
resolved queriesCoach and mentor financial advisers to foster, through trust-based engagement, long-
term relationships with clients
