Export Dispatch Coordinator

Our client was founded in 1981 and focuses on manufacturing, marketing and distributing technological animal feed additives, and disinfectant products for animal feed, livestock, and food.
They are looking for a skilled and proactive Export Dispatch Coordinator to join their team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that products are delivered to the right location, on time, and to the required quality.
You will also oversee the export dispatch operations, ensuring international shipments are processed efficiently, comply with regulatory requirements, and meet customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain efficient export dispatch processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date metrics, reports, and process documentation.
Oversee internal dispatch operations as needed.
Maintain pest control procedures and documentation.
Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies and regularly review and update procedures.
Manage external transporters, ensuring correct quantities are loaded, and service level agreements are followed.
Plan and coordinate the movement of export and local orders through external transporters.
Track shipments, costs, and timelines, resolving any issues that arise.
Compile estimates and quotations, and manage relationships with 3PL service providers (port agents, transporters, etc.).
Ensure export shipments comply with trade regulations and customs requirements.
Assist with stock management and warehouse oversight.Attributes:A unique blend of business and technical expertise.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
Ability to execute the DEDVIM process (Define, Explore, Develop, Validate, Implement, Measure).Qualifications & Experience:Grade 12 plus a relevant degree or 3-year diploma.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Freight Forwarding.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pricing/Estimates.
Knowledge of African cross-border operations is advantageous.
Strong understanding of incoterms, shipping line processes, port charges, and requirements.
