About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting local changemakers in the field of girls' education.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader and strategist, with a proven track record in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the areas of strategy development, fundraising, and community engagement.
This role is pivotal in advocating for the organization's initiatives, including a strong focus on the power of girls' education to drive social change.
The Executive Director will be responsible for nurturing existing donor relationships, as well as actively pursuing new opportunities to ensure the organization's impact continues to expand.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a deep alignment with the values of the organization, including integrity, honesty, curiosity, collaboration, agility, and cultural sensitivity.
The role requires a leader with extraordinary relationship-building skills, the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and a high level of self-awareness and empathy.
Experience in East Africa or similar contexts is essential, as is the ability to travel to Tanzania and work in rural and remote conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience, a relevant degree, and a strong background in strategic fundraising and partnership development.
Strategic vision, execution expertise, and a proven record of organizational operations, including financial oversight and team management, are also key requirements for this position.
