About Us: Founded in 2014, Phakamani Young Minds Academy is a youth-led non-profit organisation dedicated to providing academic assistance, support and mentorship to learners. We focus on bridging the educational gap among disadvantaged students, enhancing classroom learning, and empowering young people to break the cycle of poverty and achieve success through tertiary education and employment.Position Overview: Phakamani Young Minds Academy is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations and drive PYMA's mission of educational empowerment and impact within the community.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the organisation's mission and vision. Lead and inspire staff, volunteers and stakeholders to effectively implement programmes and initiatives.Organisational Management: Oversee daily operations, including programme management, fundraising, finance and administration. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.Resource Development and Fundraising: Secure funding from diverse sources, including grants, corporate partnerships and individual donors. Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors and funding agencies to support programme sustainability and growth.Programme Development and Impact: Enhance educational programmes and services to meet the needs of our target beneficiaries. Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, using data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.Advocacy and Community Engagement: Represent PYMA in local, regional and national forums to advocate for educational equity and youth empowerment.
