120 seater, New Mediterranean Restaurant opening in Cape Town
Opening Date:
October 2024
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all kitchen operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
Develop and finalize a Mediterranean-inspired menu.
Source and establish relationships with quality suppliers.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high culinary standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
Monitor and manage kitchen inventory and budget.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with management to align kitchen operations with restaurant goals.
Requirements:
Must be based in Cape Town to attend face to face interviews.
Proven experience as an Executive Chef in an upmarket establishment.
Expertise in Mediterranean cuisine.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent culinary skills and creativity.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
