Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the diaries, meetings and travel arrangements of the Group Chief Executive Officer
and Group Head of Investments and 1 other executive.
- Assist the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Investments and manage output,
workflow and office deadlines
- Manage the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Investments inbox by filing,
highlighting important emails, then disseminating emails to other relevant departments as
required
- To support the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Investments both
administratively and with personal requests/errands
- Co-ordinate multiple internal and external meetings with ease and efficiency
- Ability and proficiency to manage various programmes such as PowerPoint, Excel a must
(tech savvy) such as:
o Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and filing systems
o Compiling relevant information for creation of presentations
o Prepare agendas as directed and draft minutes of meetings
o Compile, collate and disseminate board and management packs
- Screen calls and answer queries where possible or re-direct to relevant person within the
business
- Draft, type and dispatch the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Investments
correspondence as directed
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Head of Investments
- Deal with main board of directors and directors of group companies
- General understanding of the investor environment
- To project a professional, efficient, and courteous image and work ethic
Experience
- 5 Years relevant working experience as an executive Personal Assistant at a JSE listed
company or an investment bank or corporate access experience
Qualifications
- Minimum Matric
- Relevant Secretarial Certificate/Diploma
- BA degree would be advantageous
Competencies and Skills
- Advanced computer literacy proficient in Word (essential), Excel (essential) and
PowerPoint (essential)
- Accurate speed typing skills
- Minute taking, shorthand preferable
- Problem solving and sound judgment
- Ability to organise and prioritise
- Utmost attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills an ability to interact with people at all levels
- High emotional intelligence
- Capable of working in a pressurized environment able to occasionally work unsociable
hours and with an increased workload
- Ability to multitask

- Strong sense of discretion (ethical approach and commitment towards confidentiality)
- Takes own initiative and is proactive
- Broader understanding of the investor/broker community (desirable)
