Job Title : Senior Brand ManagerLocation : Southern Africa (including Central, Eastern, and Western Africa)Overview :As a Senior Brand Manager for Eucerin in Southern Africa, your primary objective will be the long-term growth of the Eucerin brand portfolio in alignment with the company's overall strategy and roadmap.
You will be responsible for defining and achieving specific net sales and market share objectives through the development and execution of the annual marketing plan.Responsibilities :Market Understanding and Development :Identify market challenges and opportunities, focusing on Consumer Marketing Objectives.Contribute to brand portfolio development and collaborate with the Global Marketing Team.Develop a robust local pipeline to achieve Business Objectives set by the Marketing Manager.Gain an in-depth understanding of local consumers and shoppers to inform the Consumer Market Strategy.Contribute to the development of the annual Consumer Marketing Plan and gain approval for the strategy with the Marketing Manager.Communication Development :Lead the adaptation of global and regional communication assets for key innovations in the Consumer Marketing space.Develop 360-degree launch activation campaigns and ensure their seamless implementation.Execute campaigns flawlessly, constantly evaluating and optimizing the creative and media plans for the best possible implementation.Conduct demand forecast meetings to review annual volumes, feeding into the Sales & Operations Process.Evaluate and propose marketing mix and media channels :Assess brand performance, gather and interpret data, propose actions to rectify poor performance, and identify market opportunities / gaps.Develop brand commercial updates on a monthly basis.Budgeting / Financial Management :Accurately manage allocated budgets throughout the year.Handle accurate reconciliations and media PO tracking.Maximize return on investment by tracking Above the Line campaigns with scan track and PLE feedback.
Implement agreed-upon course correction plans if necessary.Personal Specifications :Education : University degree (Honours); Master's Degree is an added advantage.Experience : Minimum of 5 years of brand management experience in the FMCG industry.Skills & Abilities :Proficient in marketing skills, including ATL / BTL development, research briefing & analysis, market analysis, consumer insight development, measurement and tracking of initiatives, claims, product & packaging development, and concept development.Excellent communication skills to manage diverse relationships both locally and internationally.Ability to identify patterns in data and develop action plans in response.Capability to help develop Brand Managers.Strong presentation and communication skills, good influencing skills.Proficient stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and financial skills for share analyses and business case development.Willingness to relocate to South Africa / Central, Eastern, and Western Africa.
