We require the services of an events Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and seamless execution of a variety of events, including tournaments, competitions, fundraisers, supplier activations, member activations, festivals, demo days, cycling races, and golf days.Key Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of events for both corporates and privates including venue selection, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and participant engagement.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, sponsorship, and operations teams, to align event objectives with organizational goals and marketing calendar and strategy.Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors to secure necessary resources and support for events.Develop comprehensive event timelines and production schedules to ensure all activities are completed on time and within budget.Manage event staff, volunteers, and contractors, providing leadership, direction, and support throughout the planning and execution process.Oversee event operations on-site, including setup, signage, registration, security, safety, and hospitality services, to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for participants and spectators.Evaluate event success and gather feedback from stakeholders, participants, and attendees to identify areas for improvement and inform future event planning efforts.Requirements:Degree/Diploma in Event Management or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports event planning and management, preferably within the hospitality industry.Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms for event promotion and marketing.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for event planning and execution.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: R25 000,00 - R35 000,00 per monthEducation:Diploma (Required)Experience:Event management: 5 years (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/07/28Expected Start Date: 2024/08/01
