Events Coordinator / Manager

URGENT IMMEDIATE START We are seeking an event coordinator to lead our client's establishment based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
Requirements and Responsibilities:

Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues.
Planning event details and aspects, including seating, dining, and guests.
Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time.
Remaining under budget with all costs.
Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise.
Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event.
Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events.
Understanding requirements for each event.
Planning events with attention to financial and time constraints.
Booking venues and scheduling speakers.
Researching vendors (catering, decorators, musicians, etc.) and choosing the best combination of quality and cost.
Negotiating with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms.
Hiring personnel.
Managing all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, etc.).
Conducting final checks on the day of the event (e.g., tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards.
Overseeing event happenings and acting quickly to resolve problems.
Evaluating the event's success and submitting a report.
