The successful candidate will oversee and manage pricing, contract revisions and negotiations, pricing models, cost-benefit analysis, financial costing integration, and strategic pricing management. The role demands a high level of expertise in market analysis, problem-solving, and profitability metrics to drive business strategy and optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.About the Role: Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process.Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.Responsibilities: Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies that align with market trends, company objectives, and profitability goals.Revisions and Negotiation: Lead contract revisions and negotiations with clients and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.Pricing Models: Design and refine pricing models to optimize revenue and profitability.Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct detailed cost-benefit analysis to inform decision-making and strategic planning.Financial Costing Integration: Integrate financial costing into overall business strategies to enhance decision-making.Business Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies, including strategic pricing management.Market Analysis and Optimization: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform commercial strategies and optimize market presence.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve commercial issues to enhance efficiency and profitability.Profitability Metrics: Monitor, report, and analyze profitability metrics to ensure the financial health of the company.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment of commercial activities. Qualifications: Grade 12A formal qualification in a related field.Experience as a Site agent or Quantity Surveyor or related field will be beneficial.Experience in Commercial management, pricing, or a related field, preferably in the bitumen or construction industry, will be advantageous.Payment certificate experience will be beneficial.Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.Computer Literacy - MS Office (Advanced level).A valid driver's license and MUST have own reliable transport.South African citizen Desired Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and numerical skills.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
