EPC (Engineering Process Controller) - Project ControllerOur client, an international player in renewable energies and a multi-source electricity producer (wind, solar, hydropower, and biomass), is currently looking for an EPC (Engineering Process Control) - Project Controller to be based in Giyani, Limpopo.Qualifications And Experience:BTech or Bachelor's Degree in Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related disciplinesPrior experience in the renewable sector or energy generation will be valuedGeneral knowledge of standard forms of contracts, particularly FIDIC3 – 5 years in cost controlling and contracts administration for EPC ProjectsClaims and change management for EPC ProjectsStandard Operating/Computer System Knowledge:Experience with JD Edwards, SAP, etc.MS Office basic programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Projects)Roles and Responsibilities:Collation and control of all the cost information from various cost centres for Project costsUpdate and control Project cost progress and deviations against the approved Budget as per the Site ProgressHandling follow-ups on the Cost control & trends for Project/Site Costs, highlighting and reporting as per organisation requirements on deviations & propose mitigation plans for risksScope change management, i.e., identify and quantify variations, site instructions, scope changes, etc.Review and evaluate contractors/suppliers/service providers' claims and quantify claims/back-charges/contra-charges for non-conformities, delays, etc.Cost report management, i.e., report cost, cashflow (in and out), and Financial Position of the Projects Cost codesUpdate and control Cost to Completion Forecasts including cost provisions for risks and opportunitiesPrepare monthly contractors' liabilities schedule/register and assist with provisions of accruals for cash out forecastAssist in updating risk management templates and initial drafts of contractual notifications to EPC Contractors and SuppliersAssist in contracts management administration and registers/trackers updates for Project POs and ContractsParticipation in dispute resolution and litigation dossiers preparationsSite General Spend control and reconciliation (imprest system/petty cash)Participation in Site Suppliers evaluation, commercial bid analysis, and Procurement (Requests and Payment Certificates)Invoices control and approval management coordination with the PM & Finance DepartmentsSkills and Competencies:Ability to monitor and control project forecasts and costsCommunication and negotiation skillsStrong data collation, analysis, and presentationStrong written and spoken English, as well as cultural diversity awarenessAnalytical and problem-solving skillsOutput and deliverables drivenTeam collaborator with strong organisational skills, accountability, and decision-makingSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management and ManufacturingIndustries: Human Resources
