Environmental Scientist - Mining

Hire Resolve's client, a prominent mining company in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist with a focus on mining operations to join their team.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and policies applicable to mining operations.Conduct environmental assessments and audits to evaluate the impact of mining activities.Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and strategies to minimize environmental risks.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into mining projects.Monitor environmental indicators and report on performance against compliance requirements.Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental practices and regulations.Engage with regulatory bodies and stakeholders on environmental matters.Requirements:Grade 12Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.Registered with SACNASP/EAPASA5+ years of experience within the Environmental Consulting Sector.Experience in the mining industry.Experience in managing projects and budgets.Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and audits.Benefits:Salary: R420 000 - R540 000 p/aPaid Time Off (PTO) - If Applicable
