JOB SUMMARY Productive Playhouse is seeking talented and experienced writers to conduct linguistic quality control on translated documents.
Writers (Internal Role: QC Reviewers) will edit and improve transcriptions of translated videos in the form of Google Docs.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the English language and grammar rules, as well as be able to adeptly identify awkward and unnatural phrases and sentences while improving them accordingly.
QC writers must be familiar with United States English and be able to apply United States English writing standards.
It is not necessary to be familiar with the language that is being translated.
The length of time spent on each document may take anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours to complete, depending on the length of the transcript.
RESPONSIBILITIES Availability during one of three shifts, according to Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5).
Three shifts are available from 12AM-6 AM EST or 6AM-12PM EST or 6PM- 12AM EST Follow project guidelines Meet project deadlines Make consistent progress on assigned files Communicate with project managers in a timely and effective manner Communicate in English with project managers via email (verbal communication is not required) SKILLS Solid grammar/ orthography and punctuation.
You will be required to take a test.
