JOB DESCRIPTION – ENGINEERING MANAGER - MECHANICAL ENGINEER The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing projects.
Management of the consulting and inhouse engineers.
Checking and approving analytical calculations and empirical simulations.
Checking and approving CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
5 years work experience in relevant field of engineering and management, specific to materials handling in mining would be advantageous.
CAD experience (Solidworks), proficient.
Work using a product data management system (PDM) and vault.
Hands on experience with machines.
Proficient in office products such as teams, excel and word.
Key Responsibilities: Setting up of project requirements and schedules.
Scope generation.
Manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time.
Task delegation, tracking and reporting.
Management of the engineering and draughting team.
Development of new revenue generating streams throughout the organisation.
Interaction with clients.
Site visits and commissioning.
