Engineering or Computer Science Degree and a track record of over 10 years, with more than 3 years in a leadership role.DUTIES:Leading teams:Lead team members to maximize engagement and as a result, the delivery of releases as defined by release planProvide professional support to employee through mentorshipDefine and communicate priorities to the team to reach target datesAssist in removing obstacles that are hampering the performance of the employeeEnsure that roles and responsibilities of all team members are clear and understoodCreate clear OKR's for team membersImplement objective performance metrics consistent with the larger Dev Engineering team that will be used for performance feedbackManage the performance of the team through constant individual feedbackAssist in creating a personal development plan for each employeeManage the skillsets of the team to match and support the current and upcoming projectsEnsure company, product and team strategy is clear and understood by team membersBudgeting:Team budget preparation and executionUpdate the forecasted budgetAllocate expenses against the budget and provide invoices to finance where requiredRecruitment:Detailed design and write-up of the new positions' job specification and desired outcomesAssistance during recruitment processCreation and implementation of induction plan for new startersProcess Implementation:Assists in defining/refining/establishing the software development process and ensuring that team adheres to the processEnsure required documentation is createdDo work breakdown based on user requirements as defined by TPOTogether with TPO, ensures the development team aligns and agrees on a sprint backlogMake sure that effort estimation is done by team membersMaking suggestions on technical decisions & review design with all relevant stakeholdersResource planning and development planning of components in support of the product roadmapTrack the progress of the development, managing the team to reach the deadlines as specified (entails adjustment of the scope/plan/design as relevant)Regular reporting to management on the status and progress of developmentIdentify potential third-party suppliers and decide, in consultation with other EM's, TPO's and Architecture Forum, on building vs. contracting as a solutionEnsure that quality is baked into the development process and as such is responsible for triaging of bugs, continuous integration, and the source control & testing strategy of teamEnsure regular integration (e.g., at the end of each sprint) with Systems Integration Testing environmentEnsure team's focus is aligned with focus of other Dev Engineering teamsHighlight and manage dependencies on other teamsProduct Support:Triage of support incidents assigned to the teamProvide technical support and assistance for related products in the fieldInterface with customers and support personnel on technical issuesEnsure resources are available to deal with any priority issuesRespond promptly and professionally to escalation requests for advanced technical supportMake sure that required documentation for the relevant sub-system is created and maintainedGuiding technical design and integration of software components and featuresProvide technical leadership through process design inputsPre-Sales and Sales Support:Making suggestions on technical decisionsProvide assistance with the internal and external training of the productREQUIREMENTS:B.
